10 wildlife safari – Victoria Falls, Okavango Delta, Chobe National Park
Enter into the heart of Botswana and the Okavango delta. See wildlife up close on foot, in canoe, and on game drives.
Tropical Ice’s new trip to Botswana will get you up close and personal to Africa’s wildlife. We designed this safari for people who love to watch and photograph animals in their spectacular habitat. While much of the world is losing wild places, the Okavango Delta remains as it has for thousands of years. What makes Botswana so different to almost anywhere else in Africa is how relaxed the wildlife is with us around. Unlike in places where poaching has made animals skittish, we find here that even the predators allow us to watch as they calmly go about their daily routine.
We believe that to experience Africa, you have to live in it under canvas, away from crowds with only the sounds of the African night to fill the space.
Our comfortable mobile camp will take us into the heart of Chobe National park, where big elephant herds congregate from Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe; where the seldom seen Greater Kudu roams in large numbers on the open plains. We camp in the Savuti Area and Khwai (Moremi) and look for the African Hunting dogs, lion, leopard and nearly every species of plains game. We spend two nights in the luxury of a permanent camp on the waterways of the Delta where we can walk, get out on a traditional dugout canoe (mokoro), or just linger on the deck.
All the wildlife photos were taken by clients on our last Botswana safari. Just to give you an idea of just how much we saw.
