Imagine hiking for 10 days across beautiful unspoiled valleys and hills, stopping occasionally to learn about ancient shrines and temples along the way. This is Tropical Ice’s Wild Japan safari!
We follow 2,000 year old pilgrimage trails through atmospheric forests, and up spectacular low-lying mountain ridges with unsurpassed views of the Kunisaki peninsula on the southern island of Kyushu.
At night we stay in comfortable traditional Japanese Ryokan inns, each built on the site of natural hot springs, and eat delicious Japanese food. Last year we didn’t see a western face for 10 days.
Before we begin our magical 10 day hike, we visit Kyoto and see the great sites like the Golden Pavilion.
